Black magic elephant ears are the plants that made me fall in love with dark plants. New leaves grow in lighter green but quickly darken up to a truly deep purplish black. This plant thrives in well lit areas. I planted one bulb in the garden bed of a duplex I lived in years ago, and the bed is now full of them.
