There are multiple uses for lava rocks with plants, but I am using it for my homemade pon mixture. It makes up almost half of the mixture.
Lava rocks help maintain moisture and increased drainage. Lava rocks can be used in conjunction with other substrate. May have dust so be prepared to rinse before use.
